Brewers 4, Dodgers 1: Forgettable

I’ll be honest, none of our writers were able to actually watch this game live. Maybe that’s for the best, as the Dodgers dropped their second consecutive game to the Brewers, this time by a score of 4-1. Zack Greinke (apparently) struggled, giving up home runs to Khris Davis and Carlos Gomez. I say apparently, but he did strike out six and walk one, so his start wasn’t completely bad.

Meanwhile, the Dodgers were shut down by … Mike Fiers? They only managed three hits against him, and the only run came on a home run by Adrian Gonzalez. It was Gonzalez’ second home run in two days, and he was inches away from a third yesterday. Even if the offense as a whole is cooling off, at least Gonzalez’ bat seems to be waking back up. The Dodgers went on to get the tying run to the plate with two outs against Francisco Rodriguez in the ninth, but Matt Kemp grounded out to end the game.

So, what can I say? I guess we picked a good game to collectively miss. However, I can present at least one parting gift, a GIF of Zack Greinke pulling a Bartolo Colon at the plate:

Fantastic. At least Clayton Kershaw goes tomorrow.
