How do you get Alex Guerrero in the lineup? You do it when you know the game doesn’t have a chance in hell of being played.

I mean, come on. It feels silly to even be doing a game thread for a game that is, again, in tremendous danger of postponement as Tropical Storm Bill pounds Texas. Dodger beat writer Twitter is just a roulette of tarp photos:

So yeah, maybe this game gets played, but more likely it doesn’t, and the fact that this is being posted more than two hours in advance of game time probably isn’t helping. (Sorry.)
We do know a few things, though. No, Hector Olivera isn’t joining the Dodgers today. (Doesn’t mean he can’t back in Los Angeles tomorrow, though). Yes, Brandon Beachy is making his first rehab start tonight. And yes, Brett Anderson really is a rain god and we’ve moved past the “ha, it always rains when he pitches” phase into “no really, this man controls the weather.”
