That’s it, really. I wasn’t really planning to add a ton of research or narrative into what is, essentially, a fun summer exhibition. Enjoy seeing Zack Greinke try to carve up Mike Trout, Josh Donaldson, and Albert Pujols in the top of the first. Enjoy the roar of the crowd when hometown hero and Home Run Derby champ Todd Frazier steps in against Dallas Keuchel in the bottom of the first. Enjoy the idea of “Clayton Kershaw, middle reliever.” Enjoy everything Joc Pederson does, and keep an eye out for Adrian Gonzalez and Yasmani Grandal.
Enjoy this fun stat about the starting pitchers…
Zack Greinke’s 2nd season: 5-17, 5.80
Dallas Keuchel’s first 2 seasons: 9-18, 5.20

…and think to yourself, “Hey, you’ve still got a chance, Mike Bolsinger.” But hey, just enjoy it. That’s what it’s for. The second half and trading deadline will be here sooner than you think. Might as well take the breather while you can get it.
