Podcast: ‘Dugout Blues’ episode 139 – Roberts, Cubans, Puig, hot stove

On this episode of “Dugout Blues,” Jared Massey (Dodger Blue) and I rejoice over the hiring of Dave Roberts. Well, I do, at least.

The Dodgers signed a couple Cuban players prior to selecting Roberts as manager, and we have the dirt (as much dirt as there can be) on them.

Yasiel Puig got into a spot of bother over the long holiday weekend. Shockingly, it wasn’t as bad as originally reported. This launches us into a discussion of whether Puig will be dealt.

The Dodgers hired Joe Davis to, seemingly, be Vin Scully’s replacement. I don’t know much of his work, but Jared says he’s solid.

Jordan Zimmermann signed with the Tigers. Yes, we have to talk about other signings because the Dodgers have been pretty quiet so far this offseason.

To close, we have a strong Q&A session — many about Puig and second base. Keep them coming!
