[Update] Dodgers trim 6 from camp, only 4 cuts left until the Opening Day roster is set

With less than two weeks left until Opening Day, the Dodgers have trimmed four more players from major-league camp by optioning pitchers Adam Liberatore and Dylan Baker while reassigning infielders Jake Peter and Donovan Solano to minor-league camp.

Technically, the Dodgers still have 34 players in major-league camp, but three of them (Justin Turner, Julio Urias, Tom Koehler) will start the year on the DL, so the number is essentially 31 and that leaves six more cuts to make in order to set the 25-man roster for Opening Day.

While the Dodgers likely already had a clear picture of who they want at the end, perhaps the JT injury causes them to make an alteration or two, and that could benefit somebody like Joc Pederson, Andrew Toles, or Kyle Farmer.

Update

Outfielder Alex Verdugo has been optioned and catcher Rocky Gale has been reassigned.

That leaves just four cuts left.
