Dodgers @ D’backs June 3, 2019: Buehler vs. Ray in the desert

The Dodgers begin a 3-game series in Arizona against the Diamondbacks with a 9-game lead over the Rockies and 11 games ahead of the D’backs. Damn.

If you’re looking for MLB Draft coverage, check the front page and our Twitter accounts. I’ll be writing up the first three picks tonight.

Justin Turner is back after four starts off due to a bum hamstring. Cody Bellinger — baseball’s best player — is getting the night off, at least to start. He’ll probably make at least a pinch-hitting appearance later. It’s interesting to see Joc Pederson in there against Robbie Ray, seeing as Pederson doesn’t start against lefties. The fact Bellinger is out and Matt Beaty is a bit banged up opened a spot for Pederson to start against a southpaw.

On to some news:

Bet ya didn’t realize that.

Hyun-Jin Ryu has been unreal this season. Gonna be crazy that he ends up getting more All-Star Game starts than Clayton Kershaw.

Here is your Julio Urias update.

That was a fun night for Yasiel Puig, the Dodgers and Dodger fans.
