After a bit of an ugly affair last night, the Dodgers are looking for their second win of the series against the Marlins and their lone All-Star Sandy Alcantara.

Alcantara was the big prize of the Marcell Ozuna trade two winters ago and has been decent for Miami this season, but the term “All-Star” doesn’t apply to him in the traditional sense. His 3.94 ERA, 4.65 FIP and 5.8 K-BB% will back me up on that. Still, he’s a hard-throwing righty (95.3 MPH) with a slider, changeup and curveball.

The Dodgers are running out what is basically their standard lineup against right-handed pitching in the second half. Oh, and they have that Clayton Kershaw fella throwing tonight.

If you’re in the greater Midland, Mich., area, get out to see Kody Hoese and Michael Busch posthaste. Odds are, they won’t be there come April 2020.

Oh, and I’m going to try to see Michael Grove in person tomorrow in Stockton. Fingers crossed!
