Everyone is doing stuff, so I apologize for the late game thread. Let’s hope the Dodgers (77-41) and Diamondbacks (59-57) can avoid another brouhaha in game two of three at Dodger Stadium.

There were a couple of pre-game notes.
We may see Gavin Lux with the Dodgers this season.
Roberts said Gavin Lux is on the radar for a call-up, but undecided whether it will be before or after Sept. 1, or even whether he will be active or “apprenticing,” as Will Smith did last September when he was with the club but not active.

Finally, for those looking for Dave Roberts to take Kenley Jansen out of the closer role, it isn’t happening right now.
Dave Roberts said he will continue to “run (Kenley Jansen) out there.” Roberts watched Jansen throw a bullpen session today, working on his delivery.

“The last couple of years have been the most difficult for [Jansen] in maintaining his delivery and consistency, Roberts said. "It’s something that he’s not afraid to put in the effort to work through it. That’s what we’re betting on.”
