Being back from a break didn’t do much to help the offense of the Dodgers, and almost amusingly the problem seems to no longer the starting pitching. Emmet Sheehan takes the mound today looking to further reduce that concern, and while the offense could use a hot … well, month to alleviate concerns, I’ll take anything today against the Brewers.

Notably, Mookie Betts isn’t in the lineup, and he might not be in there tomorrow either.
Dave Roberts called Mookie Betts this morning to talk about giving him today (and potentially tomorrow) off

I mean, it can’t hurt.

Blake Treinen is close and they desperately need him to be Blake Treinen.
#Dodgers Blake Treinen made another rehab appearance with OKC tonight. He faced 3 batters, threw 8 pitches, all strikes. Two groundouts and a K.

Needs to pitch on consecutive days before rejoining LAD is an option
Max Muncy is progressing.
Another positive step today for Max Muncy: he's taking ground balls right now at third base.

Michael Kopech is throwing.
Kopech said this was his first day of his throwing progression. His knee had been in a place where it was getting worse, not better, post-injection so surgery was the only option.

Still, he said he feels he could be ready sooner than expected. He’s eligible to return Aug. 27. https://t.co/50uBWw8lA4
Enrique Hernandez is throwing but his recovery is taking a minute.
Kiké Hernández has been playing catch, but there's no timeline for his return. Dave Roberts said he was in a "holding pattern."

Is it lasting longer than expected?
"Absolutely. Yes."

Nick Nastrini was outrighted to AAA, so he’s not on the 40-man.
