The Dodgers have gone full senioritis mode to end the first half, with back to back sweeps at the hands of the Astros and Brewers. It’s been some ugly ball against two of the hottest teams in the game, and now wrap up the first half with a three game set in San Francisco. The Giants have won six of their last eight and have shrank the gap in the West from nine games down to five, but the Dodgers took two of three from the Giants the first time the two teams met. Dustin May gets the ball to start the series tonight, and the Dodger offense looks to get going against Logan Webb.

The Dodgers roll out as healthy of a lineup as they have in a minute. Teoscar Hernandez is back in the lineup and in right. He’s had one plate appearance since last Saturday as he’s dealt with foot pain after fouling a ball off his foot against Houston. He drew a walk on Wednesday before being pinch ran for. Tommy Edman also starts after returning to the lineup on Wednesday. He gets his first start at third since 2022, but did play an inning at third Saturday against Houston. The Dodgers get their first look at Rafael Devers as a Giant. He’s only posted a .706 OPS in his 22 games as a Giant and had an MRI after dealing with some back discomfort, but avoided the IL for now.

The Dodgers made a roster move, re-acquiring Nick Nastrini and designating Noah Davis for assignment.

Nastrini was part of the Joe Kelly/Lance Lynn trade a couple years ago, but struggled with the White Sox. He made his debut last season and allowed 28 runs in 35 2/3 innings over nine outings/eight starts. He had a 7.58 ERA in the Minors this season, mostly with the White Sox’s AAA team but he did have one rough outing with Miami’s AAA team earlier this month.
