The Dodgers dropped another game to Milwaukee last night, as the offense finally came alive against Freddy Peralta but Emmet Sheehan and the bullpen struggled for an 8-7 loss. They’ve lost all five games against Milwaukee so far this season and now look to avoid being swept for the third time in the last four series, which I’m told is less than ideal. Clayton Kershaw looks to play his familiar role as the stopper, while the offense looks to figure out Jose Quintana.

Mookie Betts returns to the lineup after a reset day yesterday, and he returns leading off. It’s the first time Betts has led off since last June and will reportedly remain in the leadoff role for a while, at least until Max Muncy returns.
Dave Roberts said he moved Mookie Betts into the leadoff spot in hopes it will give him a new mindset at the plate — just to get on base and take good ABs

He said he will stick with this at least until Max Muncy is back (which could roughly be in “a couple weeks”) https://t.co/I26rQAJMNo
In positive news about that, Muncy is progressing much faster than expected and could now be back in a couple of weeks. Hopefully they aren’t rushing him back, but his return could be huge for a struggling lineup.
In other lineup news, Dalton Rushing catches Kershaw and Esteury Ruiz gets the start in left.
