Red Sox 4, Dodgers 3: May coughs up lead, bats go 1-for-11 with RISP

This game is gonna get the recap it deserves as the Dodgers dropped the series after losing 4-3 today against the Red Sox.

======

Dustin May looked shaky early but seemed to find his groove in the middle innings, but continued to run more cold than hot this year and ended up giving up four runs in five innings, exiting the game trailing.

The pen combo of Jack Dreyer and Justin Wrobleski didn’t give up a run the rest of the way.

——

Meanwhile, the Dodgers offense got three runs, amusingly with Michael Conforto acting as something like a one-man offense.

But they couldn’t capitalize on the chances they got, and they had them in the last seven innings. The offense left them loaded in the 3rd, left them at the corners in the 4th, stranded two more in the 5th, abandoned a lead-off double in the 6th, left another pair in the 7th, couldn’t get two walks to start the 8th in, and finally couldn’t get the tying run in from second in the 9th.

Yeah.

Fucking sucks.
