Dodgers Prospect Notes: Tibbs III adds to his minors HR lead, Serwinowski bounces back, AJ Soldra breaks out, more

Hitter of the Week

With the Dodgers’ glut of outfield prospects, it’s easy for some players to fall through the cracks. However, with injuries to Landyn Vidourek and Brendan Tunink, last year’s 16th-round pick AJ Soldra has been taking advantage of his newly found playing time.

The 22-year-old appeared in every game for the Tower Buzzers last week and went 8-for-18 with a triple and three home runs, including a multi-homer game on Saturday. That performance has pushed his season OPS over 1.000.

After starting his pro career by going hitless in his first ten at bats, Soldra has hit safely in 10 of his last 13 games and leads the org with four triples. He’ll get consistent playing time until Vidourek and Tunink come back and, if he continues hitting like this, will force his way into the lineup even after they return.

Pitcher of the Week

The beginning of the 2026 season was not kind to Adam Serwinowski. In his first three starts, the southpaw allowed 16 earned runs while only recording 24 outs. But the 21-year-old put together one of the best starts of his career to break out of his slump and earn Pitcher of the Week.

Facing a potent Frisco lineup, Serwinowski dominated the RoughRiders with 6 innings of shutout ball. He allowed just two hits and, after walking 11 in his first three starts, didn’t issue a free pass on Tuesday. This was also his first start without surrendering a home run.

Hopefully Adam can ride this start into more success in Double-A. Tulsa needs production out of their rotation after losing Luke Fox. Let’s see if Serwinowski can fill those shoes.

Triple-A Oklahoma City

James Tibbs III was ice cold for a ten day stretch earlier this month but he’s heating up again. Last week, he added to his minor league lead with his 10th and 11th home runs. His OPS is now back over 1.100. If he keeps this up, the Red Sox might have to fire another coach.

After returning to Triple A from his big league debut, Ryan Ward clubbed a pair of extra base hits, including his first triple of the season.

With Seby Zavala hitting the IL, Eliezer Alfonzo is getting the majority of reps behind the plate and he’s adding value with the bat as well. Alfonzo hit his first homer on Saturday and has twice as many walks as strikeouts on the season.

On the mound, Jackson Ferris is still trying to figure things out. The lefty lasted a season best 4 2/3 innings on Friday, but also surrendered 7 runs (6 earned) on the way to his first loss of the season.

Double-A Tulsa

Josue De Paula is showing an absurd eye at the plate for the Drillers, with 18 free passes compared to 13 strikeouts. He drew eight walks last week alone while hitting .333 and stealing three bases.

Speaking of stolen bases, the Man of Steal is at it again. Kendall George swiped three more and is now at 14 on the season, which leads the org.

Zyhir Hope stole a pair of his own and picked up his fourth double of the year.

Patrick Copen bounced back from a tough third start to post 6 1/3 innings of one hit, nine strikeout ball. That’s the second time in three starts he’s had that stat line. The big righty now has 31 strikeouts in 22 innings with a 1.23 ERA this season.

High-A Great Lakes

Mike Sirota had himself a strong week, picking up his third stolen base of the season on a double steal that led to him scoring from first on an errant throw to third. He also hit .333 with his second homer of the season and is now sporting an OPS of .936.

Charles Davalan aka Chuck D, had six hits in five games, including a double and his second multi-homer game of the year.

Slowly but surely Eduardo Quintero is beginning to heat up. He had a three hit game on Saturday, falling a triple short of the cycle and popped his second homer of 2026.

But that wasn’t all of the offense. Nico Perez continues to rake, going 8-for-25 with a double, a homer and five stolen bases. Logan Wagner belted his team-leading 6th longball of the year.

Jose Meza hit two homers in the same game that Davalan hit his pair. Eduardo Guerrero appeared in four games and hit safely in all of them, picking up six hits and six walks in 16 plate appearances.

Christian Zazueta struggled on Sunday, lasting 4 1/3 IP and allowing five runs on six hits, including his first homer surrendered of the season. Zach Root is still listed as active but didn’t start last week after appearing to suffer a leg injury in his last start on the 18th.

Aidan Foeller allowed three runs in five innings while striking out a batter per. Brooks Auger debuted and looked good in his two innings of work, striking out five in a pair of innings.

Single-A Ontario

Even with 32 runs over the weekend, Tower Buzzers bats didn’t have the best week. Emil Morales went 4-for-24, though that did include his third homer of the year, going back to back with Jaron Elkins on Sunday.

Joendry Vargas also collected his third homer of the year last week, adding four steals to give him eight on the season.

Although he started just three games last week, 2025 19th rounder Anson Aroz made his presence felt by going 7-for-12, including a four hit performance on Sunday to lead the offense in their 18-run outburst.

Hyun-Seok Jang made his second start and looked even better than his first, surrendering an unearned run over four innings while striking out four without allowing a walk.

Brady Smith bookended the week with three inning outings, allowing a total of two earned runs while striking out 10. Isaac Ayon went three innings of his own, allowing one run while striknig out a season high six.
