Without much to play for, the Dodgers-Giants rivalry had all the intensity of a leisurely stroll through the park. Tarik Skubal absolutely sliced through the Giants over seven shutout, which was enough after solo shots from Teoscar Hernandez and Andy Pages for a 2-0 victory.

Gonna be honest, nothing much happened on either side today for the most part, and the energy from both sides was similar to a scrimmage.
Giants starter Yunior Marte gave up Teoscar Hernandez’s 16th homer of the year and then Andy Pages’ 22nd homer of the year to make it 2-0 Dodgers.

Thankfully, even less was happening on the other side against Tarik Skubal.
He faced the minimum in the 1st, as he saw a single erased by Andy Pages throwing the runner out trying to stretch for two. He then cruised through the 2nd before giving up just a one-out single in the 3rd. Skubal was then perfect in the 4th, 5th, and 6th before giving up an infield single with two outs in the 7th.
As mentioned, he was sailing and he would’ve thrown a Maddux if they didn’t have bigger fish to fry: 7 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 10 K, 75 Pitches.
Teoscar Hernandez and Andy Pages homered, and that was about it for the scrimmage.

The 8th belonged to Roki Sasaki, who struck out two in a clean frame, including his velo ticking up again.
Tanner Scott then finished the game off in the 9th, who struck out two in a clean frame.
