For a close game with dueling pens, the game itself had zero juice to it throughout. Things were all tied up through regulation because neither team could come up with the big hit, but in extras it was Alex Call and Andy Pages who blew the game open for a 5-1 victory over the Giants. That was a sweep and gave the Dodgers 100 wins on the season.
This game was actually way dumber than this recap gives it credit for, but I can’t be fussed to care.

Jack Dreyer started the game for the Dodgers, giving up a run in two innings of work to give the Giants a 1-0 lead.

Justin Wrobleski took over in the 3rd and got two more scoreless with three strikeouts, then Roki Sasaki and Edwin Diaz each got a scoreless frame each to get through the 6th.
Bobby Miller had to work around a lead-off walk and single that cornered the runners with nobody out in 7th, but he somehow escaped that jam. And he also had a lead-off homer in the 8th reversed en route to a second scoreless frame.
Alex Vesia then got a 1-2-3 inning in the 9th to send things to extras.

On the other side, the Giants pen started with three shutout, then an error allowed Kyle Tucker to reach in the 4th, and a one-out double put a pair in scoring position. Andy Pages cashed one of those runners in with a sac fly to tie things up 1-1.

The Dodgers then got shutout for the next five innings to take them through the 9th.
BONUS BASEBALL
The Dodgers tried their very best to strand the Manfred Runner, but Alex Call doubled with two outs for a 2-1 lead. Then after an intentional walk to Max Muncy, Andy Pages hit his 23rd homer of the year to make it 5-1 just like that.

Evan Phillips then got the 10th, not even allowing the Manfred Runner to score.

100-62, nice and tidy.
The team’s next game will be on Saturday, October 3 in Game 1 of the 2026 NLDS on either FOX or FS1 at a time to be determined.
