God I hate baseball. This really should be “Dodgers vs. Royals,” but here we are. Everyone here is the biggest Royals’ fan ever because of their opponent.

Sometimes I wonder what we as Dodger fans did to deserve this? From the Phillies haunting the Dodgers in two consecutive NLCS, to the Cardinals beating the Dodgers “the right way” to the Giants’ “dynasty,” it seems almost unfair. Let’s just hope the white-hot Royals can figure out the Giants and their devil magic/even year bullshit. Otherwise, it’s going to be a looooong winter, especially those of us leaving near/behind enemy lines.
The Royals are undefeated in postseason play since 1985, they have a dynamic and amazing bullpen (led by Greg Holland, Wade Davis and Kelvin Herrera) and home-field advantage. The Giants have more thump in their lineup (led by Buster Posey, Pablo Sandoval and Hunter Pence) and better overall pitchers in their rotation. It should be a good series, but I’m not predicting an outcome. It seems like every time I do that, it ends going the opposite way.
For the next 10 days, we’re all Royals. And hell, they have the second-best-looking uniforms in baseball, that has to count for something.
(It doesn’t)
If you get bored during the game, join us in a Google Hangout as we record the podcast with none other than Purple Drank (we’ll start around 6:30-6:45 AHT). I’ll post a link here and on Twitter.
Go Royals!
