Podcast: ‘Dugout Blues’ episode 101 – Logan White leaving, GM, Joe Maddon

On this episode of “Dugout Blues,” Jared Massey (Dodgers Nation) and I talk about the departure of Logan White. As prospect buffs, we really couldn’t think of worse news. White did a great job in his tenure, and the Padres are building quite the front office.

The Dodgers’ vacant general manager, farm director and now scouting director should be filled soon. We discuss some of the names we’d like to see in various each of those positions.

Joe Maddon opted out of his contract with the Rays, was a free agent and we wondered why the Dodgers didn’t go after him. He agreed to be the Cubs’ manager on Wednesday. That was an opportunity missed.

As usual, we close with the Q&A. We had a lot of them this week. Please keep them coming.
