With the Dodgers up 7-3, I tweeted this:

Then Yasmani Grandal did this:
And I was supposed to sleep, but everybody abandoned me, so here is a crappy recap.
But seriously, it was all about Grandal, whose slash is now .301/.414/.534/.948.
Only 2 other Dodgers players have had more RBI in a game than Yasmani Grandal, who hit two HRs today pic.twitter.com/ZeMbo2qKgU

And here are more historic Grandal tidbits thanks to Aaron Gleeman:
– He’s the first catcher with eight RBIs in a game since J.R. Towles of the Astros in 2007.
– He’s the first catcher with two home runs and eight RBIs in a game since Ivan Rodriguez of the Rangers in 1999.
– He’s the first catcher with two home runs, eight RBIs, and six times on base in a game since Walker Cooper of the Reds in 1949.
Perhaps more importantly, Joc Pederson singled. It’s a miracle!
Also, Carlos Frias was really not as bad as the line reads. It’s just that when you give up hits, you prefer four of them not be sequenced on four consecutive pitches.
