Oh. So what’s the opposite of good? That. Frias somehow managed to get through four innings, but by the time he did — having struck out zero Padres, mind you — it was a 10-0 rout. Frias’ ERA jumped from 2.55 to 5.34. Not that you should have expected, well, this, but also it’s not terribly surprising that a pitcher like Frias would have himself a rough outing.

A bunch of relievers after Frias allowed only one run over five innings and… man, none of this matters. At least Alex Guerrero hit a homer, though the less said about his defensive range, the better. Atlanta comes in tomorrow. Another starter, probably, follows not that far in the future.
