That was probably blasphemous, so, sorry. But man, are you about to see a lot of the Rockies. (I mean, the six of you who both have SNLA and don’t have to work on Tuesday will.) Tonight’s game is a 5:40 p.m. start, and then tomorrow there’s a 12:10 p.m. game, and then also tomorrow there’s another 5:40 p.m. game. On Wednesday, there’s a 5:10 p.m. game. SO MUCH BASEBALL IS ABOUT TO HAPPEN.

So when you complain that A.J. Ellis is starting tonight, don’t. Beyond the usual “Clayton Kershaw loves him” issue, realize that Yasmani Grandal can’t catch every inning of every game when the schedule is set up like this. (With that doubleheader tomorrow anyway, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Austin Barnes pick up one start before likely headed back down. Either way, having three catchers makes it very easy to hit for Ellis when needed.)

But hey, who is starting tomorrow? David Huff, somewhat surprisingly, was recalled from Triple-A, with Matt West optioned back down and Carl Crawford shifted to the 60-day DL to make room. So it must be Huff:

OK, I guess I get not wanting to start Lee’s career off in Coors Field. But who, then?

So, okay. I suppose that means if Huff isn’t needed in relief tonight, then he’ll start tomorrow. If he is, then probably Joe Wieland. Or you. It’s probably you. But, don’t forget: It’s Coors Field. You know what happens there:
