Not a lot of time to write for any of us tonight, but at least in the guise of a real game thread:
The Dodgers are in San Francisco, so even though their magic number stubbornly remains at 2, a win tonight will clinch the division. Or one win on any of the next four nights, for that matter. Tonight’s as good a night as any, with Zack Greinke on the mound, returning from his sore calf.
Speaking of returning from injuries:
Adrian Gonzalez is back in the lineup, after missing two games with back issues. It’s easy to wonder how much of that was necessary and how much of that was just not wanting to aggravate injuries at Coors.
Enrique Hernandez is also back with the team and is apparently “active,” though he’s not in tonight’s lineup.
Hey, Dodgers, stop dragging this out. It would be nice if this “meaningless baseball” was actually meaningless baseball.
