The last time the Dodgers were in Toronto, they were smack-dab in the middle of their historic 42-8 streak. That was fun!

This time probably won’t be as fun, seeing as the Dodgers are bit worse than they were at that time, and the Blue Jays are a lot better.
Kenta Maeda, who had his start pushed back a day specifically to face the right-handed-heavy Jays’ lineup, takes on perhaps the most difficult lineup he has seen to date. But, he’s a smart pitcher with strong slider that could prove to be big in this matchup.
And now that my Bluetooth keyboard has run out of battery, the rest of this threat is brought to you by J.P. Hoornstra’s Twitter feed.
Mike Bolsinger could begin a minor league rehab assignment next week, followed by Hyun-Jin Ryu and Brandon McCarthy (that order). #Dodgers

This is … surprising.
Hyun-Jin Ryu threw 50-60 pitches to Rancho hitters over two innings yesterday. Team wanted to see how he'd react with a batter in the box.

This is even more surprising. It’d be great to get Hyun-jin Ryu back, but not at the expense of rushing him. Also of note: Minor-league rehab assignments could last as long as 30 days, so it still might be awhile before we see Ryu or Brandon McCarthy back in LA.
Carl Crawford DHs tomorrow. Adrian Gonzalez on Sunday.

Yay, more Carl Crawford! Wonder how Andrew Friedman is doing on that Mike Trout trade proposal…
