On this episode of “Dugout Blues,” Jared Massey (Dodger Blue) and I look ahead to what the Dodgers may or may not do this offseason.
Most of the episode is spent talking about specific trade targets and free agent signings we’d like to see. But we do make not of the impending Collective Bargaining Agreement that is set to expire on Dec. 1. The two sides are working on a new agreement, but this has a chance to significantly impact when free agents sign.
After that, we mention names like Chris Archer, Ryan Braun, Yoenis Cespedes while we also talk about wanting to see the Dodgers retain some of their own free agents: Rich Hill, Kenley Jansen, Justin Turner.
Cody Bellinger and Willie Calhoun had good showings in the Arizona Fall League All-Star Game. Calhoun went 3-for-3 with a home run, and Bellinger, despite striking out three times, had a home run of his own.
We end the episode as we always do with a strong Q&A session.
