The lineup has a bit of a different look today, as Enrique Hernandez is hitting leadoff and the red-hot David Freese is in. Even Kyle Garlick has drawn a start.
Hyun-Jin Ryu, who has been one of the best pitchers in baseball this season, gets the start against the Cubs. He should probably start the All-Star Game for the National League, but he’s scheduled to pitch the final game before the All-Star Break, so that might not happen.
The Dodgers should be staring a series sweep in the face, but if they manage to take 3-of-4 from the likely second-best team in the NL, I suppose that’s a nice consolation prize. First pitch is on ESPN at 4:05 p.m.
