Dodgers @ Mariners September 17, 2023: Everyone’s hungover

The Dodgers clinched the NL West last night in extras, and now are just playing for seeding. Even that seems mostly wrapped up, as they’re 6.5 games up on the Brewers for the two seed and are 5.5 back of Atlanta for the one seed in the NL.

The post-clinching hangover lineups don’t hit the same since the expanded rosters were taken away, but Mookie Betts, Will Smith and Max Muncy all sit today. More notably, Freddie Freeman is also out of the lineup for the first time this season.

Shelby Miller gets the start today and will be followed up by Ryan Yarbrough. Gavin Stone is still expected to take a bulk role in this game. The Dodgers need 10 wins in their final 15 games to hit 100-win mark for the fourth-consecutive non-covid-shortened season.

First pitch is scheduled for 1:10 PM PT and will be shown on SportsNet LA.
