The Dodgers lost 5-0 tonight and lost in the NLCS in six games to the Cubs, the best team in baseball in 2016. Nothing shameful about that, and if you told fans when they were eight games back of the Giants in the NL West that they’d even be here, they’d surely be shocked. However, that doesn’t quite tell the story, as getting outplayed is one thing, but taking a 2-1 lead in the NLCS and then forgetting how to run the bases, field a baseball, and basically do anything baseball related is what made it difficult to watch.
Quite frankly, it was embarrassing.
Everything that could go wrong did in fact go wrong in the last three games for the Dodgers. If the Dodgers were just bad, then that’d be one thing, but knowing that they’re capable of more and that they didn’t get the chance to find out what that was is difficult to accept.
As for the game, I mean, who cares?
Onto 2017, unfortunately.
