Dodgers @ Giants May 16, 2017: Rich Hill returns

…But for how long? Rich Hill is making his third start of the season after needing to go on the disabled list each time after his previous two starts. Here’s hoping the blister issue is resolved (it probably isn’t). Grant Dayton was optioned to Triple-A to make room for Hill.

Light game thread tonight. The lineup is Spring Training-esque, but it’s a good thing to get Corey Seager and Cody Bellinger a night off. In fact, it’s Bellinger’s first day off since being promoted to the majors.

This is how you get Enrique Hernandez, cleanup hitter. That’s the biggest head scratcher of all with this lineup. But if you’re looking for silver lining: Joc Pederson is starting against a left-handed pitcher. Yay!

Now watch them go out and score 10 runs, because baseball.

A couple notes, courtesy of Ken Gurnick’s Twitter feed.

I’ll take 80 pitches at this rate.

Every manager ever, Davey.

Good. There’s not much benefit to using Julio Urias in the bullpen. He’ll figure things out soon enough.
