Dodgers @ Mets Sept. 15, 2019: Buehler vs. Wheeler on Sunday Night Baseball

It seems like every Game Thread I write lately is the rubber game of a 3-game series. That is the case between the Dodgers and Mets tonight.

Walker Buehler is going up against Zack Wheeler. The Dodgers handled Noah Syndergaard on Friday and Hyun-Jin Ryu went toe-to-toe with Jacob deGrom last night before the bullpen gave it up.

Still no Justin Turner, who’s still nursing a “mild” sprained ankle. But, he’s expected to be back in the starting lineup on Tuesday when the Dodgers return home to face Blake Snell and the Rays. Chris Taylor is getting the start at third base in Turner’s spot.

If this is the case, I’d be surprised if he makes it through five innings.

The Dodgers have off days on Monday and Thursday this coming week, so we’ll see the full playoff rotation in action this coming weekend.

Wanna know the crazy thing? The Dodgers have Ryan Braun to thank for this.

Game is on ESPN tonight, so get ready for A-Rod to say something stupid and Matt Vasgersian to say something offensive.
