OOTP 21: April 5, 2020 – Giants 5, Dodgers 3 – Emo Joc is hitting .111

Welp, everything is terrible again, as the Dodgers are below .500 after a 5-3 loss to the Giants that also saw them drop the series.

Worse yet, the reason they lost was being thoroughly owned by whatever an Andrew Triggs is. “It feels good to get this one,” Triggs told the San Francisco Citizen. Good for you, regen-ass player.

Alex Wood didn’t have his best stuff today, giving up five runs in 5.1 innings, with four of them coming in a disastrous fourth frame that was keyed by Evan Longoria‘s two-run double.

The Dodgers tried to battle back behind Max Muncy hitting another jack at Oracle Park in the 6th, but A.J. Pollock killed a potential rally in the 9th by grounding into a double play to end it, because of course he did.

Joc Pederson went 0-for-3 with two strikeouts and a walk. He’s now hitting just .111 on the season and it seems like the failed trade with the Angels impacted him more than he let on.

Cheer up, buddy.

The pen continues to be disturbingly competent, with Adam Kolarek, Zach McAllister, and Blake Treinen throwing a final 2.2 scoreless frames, though obviously it was for naught.

Well … this could be going better, huh?
