Welcome Justin White & Shane Mittleman to Dodgers Digest

Dodgers Digest has recently decided to make upgrades to its roster, adding Justin White and Shane Mittleman to the team.

We’re excited to have them join up, and rather than have me attempt to introduce them, it’s probably best if they just took the wheel.

Justin White (@Justin_White19)

Hey Dodger fans! My name is Justin White, I’m originally from Redlands, California (shoutout to the IE). I’m 35, have a lovely wife and daughter, and naturally have been rooting, suffering, celebrating, and loving the Dodgers for as long as I can remember.

Couple of quick Dodger fandom facts about me: I have a baseball signed by the 2018 Dodgers World Series roster. Between me and a buddy, we once brought home ~25 hotdogs from the All-You-Can-Eat pavilion (come for the hotdogs, stay for the awesome 70s themed poster of James Loney and Casey Blake). And finally, my favorite Dodger memory is the “4+1” game, where the Dodgers were down 9-5 in the 9th and J.D. Drew, Jeff Kent, Russell Martin, and Marlon Anderson went back-to-back-to-back-to-back, followed up by a Nomar Garciaparra home run in the 10th for the win.

Thanks for reading. I am super excited to be contributing here at Dodgers Digest.

Shane Mittleman (@manin_themiddle)

I was born and raised in Southern California and was a baseball player growing up, eventually turning that into an opportunity to play Division II baseball at Notre Dame College in Northeast Ohio. At Notre Dame, I studied mathematics and later received my MBA while playing baseball for the college. I grew up a die-hard Dodger fan and found a love for baseball statistics and analysis through that.

Note: While I was able to respond to some applicants, if I didn’t get a chance to get back to you, I apologize. The response to my informal tweet about an opening was, quite frankly, very surprising and a bit overwhelming.
