Before we get to Game 1 of the doubleheader, a bit of sad news this morning.
It has been a rough go for legendary Dodgers this year.
——
After Clayton Kershaw did Clayton Kershaw things last night, the Dodgers are back at it today for a scheduled doubleheader with the Diamondbacks. Zach Davies opposes Michael Grove.
The Dodgers clinched a first-round bye with the win last night. They’re on pace for 113 wins, which is bananas. They’ll need to keep some guys sharp for October, seeing as their first playoff game won’t be until Oct. 11, but the only thing they’re really playing for now is home field advantage in the World Series, should they make it that far. They’re six games up on the Astros with 16 games remaining. As long as they’re healthy — as healthy as they can be — heading into the postseason, that’s really all that matters at this point.
