Things got off to a bad start when the Apple TV+ broadcast made us relive the 2017 World Series and then didn’t mention how the result got that way, then we had to watch this depleted Dodgers roster get humiliated by the Astros in a 5-0 loss.
Apple broadcast playing the 2017 World Series highlights and not mentioning the cheating is wild, lmao.

Joy.
======
Gavin Stone is currently the #2 starter and the most likely to actually be healthy in October. He also gave up four runs today, which was enough to seem like 10 with this offense.
He was lucky it wasn’t worse, honestly: 6 IP, 9 H, 4 R, 2 BB, 3 K, 99 Pitches.
Dodgers current #2 starter in the playoffs has a 7 ERA this month.

Later, Ryan Yarbrough gave up a run while getting four outs, and Brent Honeywell Jr. had to come in for the final two outs.
——
The offense was predictably terrible…
Dodgers trying to win games with five or six mostly free outs in the lineup is gonna be fun.

…yet they also made it as frustrating as possible.
They stranded a Shohei Ohtani lead-off double in the 1st, a bases loaded with one out chance in the 6th, and then seemingly scored a run on a Gavin Lux infield single in the 7th with Ohtani coming up as a tying run … but then ran themselves out of both that chance and the run itself.
They didn't even get the run cause Vargas jogged home. LMAO.

LOL
Pathetic shit.
