Another chance to restart after a day off, another egg as the Dodgers looked lifeless in a 6-5 loss to the Athletics.
======
Teoscar Hernandez hit a two-run homer in the 1st inning after a Gavin Lux single, and that was all they’d get for most of the rest of the game.

Some brief teases to make things more frustrating, but that’s it.
That includes Shohei Ohtani‘s three-run homer in the 9th to make it a one-run game.

That’s because Gavin Stone has struggled in his last four starts and he made it five, giving up five runs on eight hits and a walk in just four innings, which absolutely fucks the already fucked pen.
Sweet.
Joe Kelly entered and gave up a run in the 5th, though at least Evan Phillips managed to not implode for once in a scoreless 6th. Daniel Hudson and Anthony Banda wrapped things up with a scoreless frame each.
