After yesterday’s epic back-and-forth game that thankfully resulted in the Dodgers taking a 1-0 series advantage, the Dodgers and Padres do it again today in Game 2 of the 2024 NLDS.
Note: Sorry in advance for the quality of this Game Thread, but both of our (elite!) regulars are unavailable. Back for the rest of the series!

Only change for the Padres is old friend David Peralta getting the start at DH over Donovan Solano, which forces Luis Arraez into the field to play first. The Dodgers will run out the exact same lineup, which is mostly notable because it means Freddie Freeman and Miguel Rojas didn’t re-injure anything.

Most of the lineup stuff is the same as yesterday, but the pitching matchups are interesting, because on paper the Dodgers should have a bit of an advantage, but Jack Flaherty has been inconsistent since coming over to the Dodgers and Yu Darvish has always handled the Dodgers well.

As far as the pen goes, it’s all hands on deck.
Dave Roberts also said today that everyone in the bullpen should be available, even Blake Treinen after his 39 pitches last night:

"I'm not concerned about usage. I'm concerned about winning tonight. We'll deal with whatever pieces we have to going forward."
