Angels 6, Dodgers 4: Swept as pitching staff continues to look terrible while more injuries get added

Dodgers got swept by the Angels.

Yay.

All you can do is laugh, but the game started with Tony Gonsolin‘s finger bleeding and Dave Roberts telling tomorrow’s starter Landon Knack to head down to the pen to stretch out.

It’s clear the finger impacted him as he showed unusually erratic command, and he also gave up a pair of homers in the 1st to Zach Neto and Taylor Ward to make it 3-0 early.

Later, he also gave up a single to Travis d’Arnaud to make it 4-0.

Somehow, it was a miracle that Tony even had this line: 4 IP, 4 H, 4 R, 5 BB, 3 K, 97 Pitches.

New Dodger Lou Trivino took over for him and didn’t blow the game at least, securing two scoreless.

On the other side, the Dodgers got a run back later on a Shohei Ohtani single in the 5th.

Then Will Smith tied it up later with a three-run homer in the 7th, his fourth of the season.

That’s about it for the highlights.

After Anthony Banda got a clean 7th, he then gave up another homer on the year in the 8th to make it 5-4 Angels.

Then Luis Garcia entered and gave up another run in the 9th to make it 6-4, and he had the trainer come out to see him for something, but stayed in. Almost laughable amount of injuries.

Didn’t matter, offense was quiet to close.
