After taking the first two games of the series and homestand against the Rangers, for the second straight series the Dodgers played a sloppy series finale with the B-lineup in there in a 5-2 loss.

Lazy recap? Lazy recap.
Gonna spend the same effort on the recap as the Dodgers have seemingly used today.

The highlights for the Dodgers basically consists of Shohei Ohtani‘s lead-off homer against Jacob deGrom.

It was basically all downhill from there.

Roki Sasaki labored through four innings but managed to only allow two runs, yet it was arguably his worst start of the season, as he struck out six but walked five and was lucky to not have it worse.
It's mostly funny cause they all struck out. Knowing what pitch is coming arguably put them into swing mode, making it more likely they chased his erratic command, lol. https://t.co/waZjAW5ah2

Over the final five innings, the pen walked five more and allowed three insurance runs for the Rangers.
With 10 walks and the sloppiness, the Dodgers are just lucky this was ever close, really.

Meanwhile, the offense was limited to six hits and five walks on the day, and things weren’t helped by them going 1-for-6 with RISP.
