The Dodgers (92-60) had a rough day yesterday, as they lost to the Reds for the first time this season and saw Blake Snell leave his start after the first inning with a groin injury. The offense reverted back to August mode and went 0-for-11 with runners in scoring position, and the loss plus a Padre win prevented the Dodgers from clinching the NL West. They have another chance to wrap it up today with an early getaway game and a pseudo bullpen game, with Justin Wrobleski (and Landon Knack) likely taking down as much of the game as possible against Brady Singer.

Wrobleski gets the start tonight coming off two scoreless relief innings in Miami on Saturday. He threw a 1-2-3 sixth inning but gave up two hits and an intentional walk to load the bases in the seventh. Wrobo did keep Miami off the board for his first scoreless outing since June 16 after starting the season with five scoreless starts in his first 13 games. He hit the IL and lost his rotation spot in mid-August but did make a spot start against the Nationals on September 6. He needed 73 pitches to get through three innings and gave up eight hits and four runs, but did strike out six. Knack is also expected to factor in today. He was on the taxi squad yesterday and called up today after Bobby Miller took down 2 1/3 innings yesterday. Miller was optioned to make room for Knack.
Singer’s looking to bounce back after two really rough starts against the Brewers. His first start of September came in Cincy against Milwaukee and he gave up six runs on four hits and a season-high six walks in five innings, but got the win with the Reds putting up 12 runs. His last start came in Milwaukee and he gave up eight runs on eight hits and five walks in only four innings and gave up three homers. Singer’s been excellent against the Dodgers in his career with a 1.89 ERA and .569 OPS allowed in three career starts.
Mookie Betts and Will Smith sit against Singer with Miguel Rojas getting a rare start against a righty and Hunter Feduccia starting behind the plate. Kyle Tucker hits third and Josue De Paula slots back in at DH after drawing a walk as a pinch hitter last night.

A couple injury updates on Edwin Diaz and Andy Pages.

It’s “very likely” that Andy Pages will be activated during this upcoming homestand.
Diaz’s rehab assignment is over and he’s expected to join the team tomorrow when they return home for the final homestand of the season. He’ll pitch in low leverage and reportedly need to prove himself there before being moved back into leverage spots (and potentially a postseason role). Pages will likely be back at some point in the next week as well and will not go out on a rehab assignment, as OKC’s season ends this weekend.
