It was a noteworthy week for a few Dodgers prospects in the Arizona Fall League. Chase Harlan had the game of the week on Thursday, a 4-for-5 showing with a double and an absolute moonshot of a home run, one that left the bat at 112 MPH and traveled 451 feet.

Overall Harlan went 5-for-13 and also doubled in that four hit effort, falling a triple shy of the cycle. The 20-year-old is showing off his immense power potential, the reason the Dodgers drafted him. He’s also showing on defense that he needs more time to develop and a lot of work to stick at third. He’s played first base this fall and hasn’t looked quite comfortable there either.
Eduardo Quintero continues to struggle and is getting sparse playing time. He started two games last week and went 1-for-8 overall. No real cause for concern, as sporadic playing time and a small sample never hurt anybody.
Charles Davalan also went deep for Glendale last week. He launched his second homer on Saturday and hit .300 over three games.

He’s also gotten positive reviews on his defense at second base, so things are coming up Milhouse for Chuck D.
On the pitching side, Sam Horn continues to impress in his unofficial debut. The righty tossed another scoreless inning on Thursday, striking out a batter and stranding a pair of baserunners.
Brooks Auger started on Monday and went three innings, allowing three runs on three hits. A leadoff triple was followed by a single and an inside-the-park home run. He allowed a two out walk but then settled in and retired the next seven batters he faced.
Luke Fox bounced back from his first rough outing and delivered three strong innings of his own on Saturday. The lefty struck out six, his high mark of the fall, while allowing only a single run. His 12 strikeouts and 3.38 ERA both rank 14th in the AFL.
Speaking of lefties, Cody Morse worked yet another scoreless outing, retiring four batters without allowing a baserunner and striking out a pair on Tuesday. He’s scattered just two hits over 4 ⅔ innings with nine strikeouts, holding opposing batters to a .111 average in his six appearances. When it comes to retiring hitters, he’s cracked the code.

Another top prospect has debuted this October. Emil Morales is playing for the Giants (ew) of Cibao in the Dominican Winter League.
While he didn’t appear in any games last week, he has started off 2-for-5 with a double and made this nifty play in the hole at short. Hopefully he gets more playing time as the season goes on.
