2024 World Series Champion Dodgers return to Los Angeles, finally get to enjoy their long-awaited parade

While I have templates for celebration posts, I realized I don’t have one for what comes after, mostly because this is their first parade in over 30 years.

And man am I glad they finally got one, as the players were right, it does really feel complete now.

What a whirlwind few days.

======

Realistically, the celebration back in Los Angeles started when they arrived by plane … or really even on the trip with the trophy. They all got their poses in, and then The Closer presented it after they exited.

That was mostly all we got from that day, except for Anthony Banda, who seemed to go out of his way to unleash profanity on television (complimentary).

——

As for the actual parade … man it was absolutely nuts. If you don’t have time to soak it all in, here’s the team’s recap of sorts.

For the sickos who want the details, well estimates put the crowd at like 200,000+ people, but everybody seemed to think it was more. Either way, the atmosphere was electric the whole time.

Let’s start with Walker Buehler … doing a beer bong in Orel Hershiser‘s 1988 World Series clinching jersey.

Meanwhile, Yoshinobu Yamamoto gave us a prime view of Enrique Hernandez and Banda losing their shirts.

Teoscar Hernandez gave us a selfie view.

He was also the best part of Shohei Ohtani‘s interview, lol.

Jack Flaherty, already sounding emotional (maybe due to drinks), never wants to leave.

While on the buses, the players talked about the parade.

——

The parade, of course, finished at Dodger Stadium, and man it was like a playoff game in there.

The team’s highlight of festivities.

Anyway, back to the start, who else but Ice Cube with hype man Dave Roberts, who was throwing it back on him (perfect, really).

While he played hero, Buehler actually didn’t say a whole lot, probably because he was wasted.

That said, he did have a great moment with Clayton Kershaw and then gave us the profanity we needed.

Enrique was basically the MC of things … because of course he was.

Horny? Yeah, horny.

Mookie Betts talked about wanting to fill his hands with rings.

Teoscar got emotional and sure sounded like he wanted to be back.

Freddie Freeman, of course, got the chants he deserved.

Arguably nobody enjoyed it more than Charlie Freeman, tho.

While Kershaw didn’t get to pitch this playoffs, I’m just so glad he gets this celebratory moment in front of fans. Made it all worth it.

Brent Honeywell Jr. will do anything, including blessing us with more profanity.

Last but not least, Shohei and Yamamoto spoke … briefly. Appreciative, but definitely more nervous about doing this than they showed on the field.

——

After all that, there were some interviews, though Flaherty’s emotions and Tommy Edman saving himself were highlights.

——

Picture time!

——

The signs, lol.

——

Given that it was his birthday, the Fernando Valenzuela tributes were out in force.

That includes during the parade itself.

======

This is the whole thing if you want to indulge.

Additionally, here’s a decent season recap to close things out.

Enjoy this, because while we hope and think it’ll happen again, you really never ever know.
