The Dodgers are fresh off last night’s victory, powered by bananas — or Enrique Hernandez.

Heat-check time, as Hernandez is getting the rare start against a right-handed pitcher. Seeing as the Dodgers have 73 outfielders on the disabled list, it makes some sense … more than putting Howie Kendrick out there (at least defensively).
If nothing else, this should be a fantastic defensive outfield, even without Yasiel Puig. He’s getting his first day off of the season after starting the season’s first 11 games. He didn’t look particularly good at the plate last night, so a night off could do him some good. One hard-hitting player is out, one is back in, as Chase Utley returns to the lineup after a couple days off.
Now, Scott Kazmir had an awful outing last time out against these Giants. I suspect things will go a bit differently in his Dodgers’ home debut.
Despite having Kazmir out there, the Giants return some lefties to their lineup in the form of Denard Span and Brandon Crawford. Johnny Cueto wasn’t great in his first start as a Giant against the Dodgers (six runs allowed in seven innings), but I also suspect he will pitch better this evening.
Some news…
.@HyunJinRyu99 was supposed to throw a pen today but is now dealing with a groin issue. #Dodgers

As if he Hyun-Jin Ryu needed anything else impeding his comeback.
On Monday Carl Crawford (lower back) will join the AAA OKC #Dodgers, whose homestand runs through April 22. He can return from DL April 23.

OK. But seriously, no need to hustle back.
