After all the back and forth that made even people who are insane enough to dedicate free time to covering baseball roll their eyes in unison, the MLB imposed a season of 60 games for 2020 and agreed with the MLBPA on health protocols, meaning that after long last … baseball is back, baby.
The season, surprisingly, seems pretty legit.
There is also a whole lot of stuff going on this year.
The players are surely going to have their grievance as well, but as far as I’m concerned, no expanded playoffs for 2020 and 2021 — which would essentially make it a lock to be carried on forever — is a win for the sport because 16 teams in the playoffs is a nightmare.
Anyway, BASEBALL*!
*Assuming COVID-19 doesn’t ruin it.
