Well, fortunately it doesn’t seem like the Dodgers are playing with the same motivation I am in watching them recently, at least in general.
My recap motivation now is admittedly in get through the season territory when a rookie isn't pitching.

That said, it doesn’t matter much when their starter struggles at Coors Field, and Dave Roberts waived an early white flag for rest purposes in a 14-5 loss to the Rockies that meant a series split.

On the upside, J.D. Martinez hit his 32nd homer of the year, a two-run shot that made it 100 RBIs for four Dodgers on the year.

Enrique Hernandez also added a solo shot, his 10th of the year.

They got another run, but yeah, not much else.

It didn’t matter much anyway. Ryan Yarbrough had a disaster of a start, giving up nine runs in four innings, including three homers out of 11 hits.
Guess Coors Field isn't the best place to be a high-contact guy.

Shelby Miller got a pair of scoreless frames, but Caleb Ferguson gave up four runs and got only one out. Evan Phillips came to his rescue to get two outs and escape the 7th without further mess,
Miguel Rojas then pitched the 8th, giving up just a run and doing better than Caleb at least.
Miggy pitching with Charlie Freeman's glove. 😂 pic.twitter.com/xCeRb6JkFJ

The Dodgers now head to San Francisco for a three-game set against the rival Giants starting at 4:15 PM HT/7:15 PM PT/10:10 PM ET. It’s an essentially meaningless series for both teams, though the Dodgers could use the prep as they send Lance Lynn to the mound against Keaton Winn.
