So, Street got ahead 0-1, pitched out, then issued an intentional walk when the count was 1-1? What?
Seems like a bad time to use Gore.
Butler beats out a double play ball @cantpredictball
Street's wind-up is so great.
"Danny Ventura"
Maybe it's the four IPAs but I feel better about this one than NLCS 2/6 last year, Matt Stairs games in 2008/2009.
With a 2/3 like Greinke/Ryu, being down 1-0 hurts a little less than usual. Sucks to have defeat snatched from victory, but not over.
I absolutely hate the term "must-win," but tomorrow pretty much qualifies at this point.
Luckily, Zack Greinke pitches tomorrow. Perhaps you've heard of him.
The Dodgers: toying with your emotions since the 19th century.
PINCH RUN.
Forget the postseason, the last time a pitcher gave up 8 runs on 10+K and 0BB in the REGULAR SEASON was 1998. Only happened twice.
Sure, now you use Howell.
Meanwhile, "should have been benched" Puig has scored three runs.
LOOGY THAT
Haaa, that bunt "attempt" on 3-0
I irrationally hate Matt Carpenter.
The curve was a really good one too, so... I dunno. Local media, I'm looking to you to ask the questions.
I'm counting 20 fastballs, 8 sliders, and 1 curve from Kershaw in the seventh inning.
I don't think the Cardinals are stealing signs. I'm not sure if Kershaw tips pitches. He was throwing all fastballs, so it didn't matter.
