Marlins 11, Dodgers 3: 11-game win streak ends due to a cornucopia of long dongs

All good things must come to an end, and at the very least they put this out of doubt early, as the Marlins absolutely shelled Tony Gonsolin in a 11-3 loss for the Dodgers.

That snaps an 11-game win streak, makes it now 15 of their last 17 they’ve won, and puts their five straight series streak on the line.

A tale of dingers aside from one run.

Like I said, Gonsolin got shelled, giving up 10 runs on five dingers. He made it just an out over three innings, and his ERA is up to 4.98.

Majestic shit, really.

On the plus side, the Dodgers did homer three times off Sandy Alcantara, with Mookie Betts, Max Muncy, and James Outman going yard.

The Dodgers didn’t score the rest of the game, however, against the Marlins pen.

Amusingly, the pen did a solid job against the Marlins after Gonsolin left. Gus Varland (a candidate to be sent down for arms) got five outs and gave up just a run (arguably due to Chris Taylor‘s hilarious route in left), while Victor Gonzalez (another demotion candidate) got two scoreless, and Alex Vesia finished the real pen with one of his own.

Miguel Rojas took the mound to finish the 9th, throwing a 38 mph pitch at one point, getting a 1-2-3 inning on his eephuses.
