Dodgers @ Guardians August 23, 2023: Kershaw makes his second career start in Cleveland

The Dodgers look to bounce back after failing to do much against Noah Syndergaard in yesterday’s series opener. Caleb Ferguson had a nightmare outing and the Guardians pulled away to take the opener 8-3. That was the Dodgers’ fourth straight game scoring exactly three runs, so the offense has cooled off while the starting pitching has mostly found its groove. Today, Clayton Kershaw looks to continue his great season squaring off against Xzavion Curry.

Blake Treinen is going to OKC to begin a rehab assignment, but his return this season is reportedly seen as a long shot. Ryan Pepiot will return to the rotation and start tomorrow’s finale in Cleveland, and Sunday’s starter for the finale in Boston is TBD.

First pitch is scheduled for 4:10 PM PT and will be shown on SportsNet LA.
