Despite everybody telling them otherwise, the Dodgers decided to run Bobby Miller out there again, and unsurprisingly he sucked ass and fucked the pen. Then after him, the pen also sucked, and the offense couldn’t slug quite enough to over take the Marlins late in a 11-9 loss.
What a stupid fucking self-inflicted loss.

Bobby unfortunately started the game for the Dodgers and there’s really not much to say. It was a mistake, as it has been for at least a few turns now.
They made this decision like they have a 10-game lead for the bye and the division.

As expected, he got shelled and was lucky it wasn’t worse: 2 IP, 7 H, 4 R, 1 BB, 2 K, 65 Pitches.

Offensively, the Dodgers had two relative embarrassing innings where they got just a walk off some guy topping out at 90 mph and without much else remarkable.
Well, they finally got their licks in the 3rd, as Hunter Feduccia singled with one out, and Shohei Ohtani followed by creating the 48-48 club, sending a ball into the second deck in right.

After a second out, Freddie Freeman and Teoscar Hernandez singled, and Max Muncy drove them both in with a double to tie the game at 4-4.

In relief of Miller was Michael Grove, and it’s always great when the pen is in during the 3rd.
At least starting Miller again will also burn the pen as well.

?
Anyway, he also looked like shit, giving up a homer in the 3rd to give the Marlins back a 5-4 lead.

The Dodgers came back to tie it again in the 4th behind Miguel Rojas‘ sixth homer of the year to make it 5-5.

No matter, Grove gave it right back again with back-to-back doubles to start the 4th, which made it 6-5 Marlins.
After a couple of outs, it looked like Grove might strand the runner there, but Dave Roberts turned to Alex Vesia, who promptly gave up a triple to make it 7-5 Marlins.

Now against the pen in the 5th, the Dodgers started with a Mookie Betts “triple” that was more of a single and a misplay, and he then scored on a Freddie sac fly to cut the deficit to 7-6.
Vesia continued in the 5th, issuing a walk and stolen base, but facing the minimum thanks to picking that runner off. Ryan Brasier got the 6th, giving up a walk and double to start, then surrendering a run on a groundout and then another on a double to make it 9-6 Marlins.

Unfortunately, the Dodgers offense mostly went quiet. They got a walk and a single cornered the runners in the 6th with two outs, but Ohtani struck out on three pitches. In the 7th, a Freddie walk was advanced on a wild pitch with two outs and singled in by Muncy to make it 9-7, but after he stole second Tommy Edman lined out.
Brusdar Graterol managed to get a scoreless 7th in 1-2-3 fashion, but Daniel Hudson gave up a single and homer in the 8th to make it 11-7.

That proved costly, as in the 9th, a pair of singles from Mookie and Teoscar were cashed in by a Muncy double to make it 11-9. But that’s where the game died.
Pathetic pitching performance. Just terrible.
They literally probably win with just a regular bad start.
