Hello and welcome to the second game of the series against the Braves, the first of which the Dodgers won in thanks to a Yoshinobu Yamamoto gem. Now it’ll be Roki Sasaki‘s turn looking to secure them the series … whenever it starts.

The big transaction, of course, is Hyeseong Kim being called up.
Sources: The Dodgers are calling up Hyeseong Kim. The infielder is en route to Atlanta after posting an .801 OPS in 127 Triple-A plate appearances.@dodger_daily was on this last night.

The Dodgers recalled IF/OF Hyeseong Kim and placed IF/OF Tommy Edman on the injured list with a right ankle inflammation, retroactive to April 30.

Unfortunately, it costs them Tommy Edman.
Dave Roberts said the plan is to have Hyeseong Kim here until Tommy Edman returns. He might get a few starts, but will likely be coming off bench

Roberts said Dodgers saw this an opportunity to give him some experience around MLB team. Said his hitting is still a work in…
Basically, they’re gonna give Kim a cup of coffee of sorts to get used to things and see what he can do, but this seems to be temporary as he continues to work on his swing.
Also, Shohei Ohtani has thrown a pen session.
#Dodgers Shohei Ohtani threw another bullpen session today. 35 pitches. Still not throwing slider. Increased intensity

Also … uh, maybe a long one tonight.
Dave Roberts said a decision has been made to “hunker down” and start the game tonight when the rain clears out which appears to be between 9:30p-10:00p ET. #Dodgers #Braves https://t.co/5hfkmg0zpe
