The Dodgers (74-50) dropped the third game against the Brewers, as Justin Wrobleski continued with his home run issues and the offense wasted a few opportunities against Jacob Misiorowski. Jonathan Hernandez did save the Dodger bullpen with three efficient scoreless innings to keep the game in reach, but the Brewer bullpen held the Dodgers to one baserunner in their three innings for a 4-1 win. Today, the Dodgers look for a series split and a season-series win over the Brewers, which could factor in to seeding purposes in October. Tarik Skubal makes his third Dodger start and faces a player that was a rumored name in a potential Brewer trade package for Skubal, Logan Henderson.

Skubal’s had a couple non-acelike starts as a Dodger, allowing five runs on eight hits in 11 innings over his two starts. He’s struck out six batters in each game and has given up a homer in each game after not allowing a homer in his last four starts as a Tiger. He faced the Brewers back in April with the Tigers and matched a season-high with four runs allowed on seven hits in six innings.
Henderson’s been excellent in his 11 starts for Milwaukee with a 2.88 ERA in 56 1/3 innings. He hasn’t given up more than three runs in a game this season and has completed five innings in each of his 10 starts since the beginning of May. His final start of May came against the Dodgers and he threw five shutout innings with two hits and three walks allowed and seven strikeouts. Henderson only allowed five homers in his first nine starts, but has allowed two in both of his starts in August.
A normal lineup for the Dodgers with Ben Rortvedt starting behind the plate. Teoscar Hernandez remains in the lineup against a righty and hit eighth.

Not really any news pre posting this. Kyle Hurt was in LA yesterday ready to be activated if a reliever hit the IL, but that hasn’t happened as of now.
First pitch is scheduled for 1:10 PM PT and will be on SportsNet LA.
