The Dodgers (49-28) dropped the middle game against Baltimore, snapping a perfect homestand and four-game winning streak with a 3-2 loss. Trevor Rogers dominated through seven one-hit innings and the offense finally came to life a bit in the ninth, scoring two runs but stranding the tying run on third for the loss. Today, the Dodgers look to wrap up the homestand with a series win with Emmet Sheehan going against Brandon Young.

A borderline normal lineup for the Dodgers vs a righty, but Dalton Rushing gets the day off after the night game with Chuckie Robinson starting behind the plate. Tommy Edman started the first two games of the series and had five hits in nine ABs, but sits today with Ryan Ward in left and Alex Freeland at second.

Will Smith won’t be with the team on their upcoming nine-game roadtrip.
More injury updates: Will Smith won’t travel with the team on the upcoming 10-day road trip, Dave Roberts said, but is hopeful Smith will be activated off the IL by the next homestand (July 2 vs. SD). Said a rehab assignment is contingent on his progression while team is away.

The Dodgers travel to Minnesota next week before returning back to the West Coast for three in San Diego and in Sacramento. Smith won’t be activated for that and he could require a rehab assignment depending on how the next 10ish days goes for him. They’re hopeful he’ll be back for the next homestand.
Teoscar Hernandez is closer to returning.
Teoscar Hernández will start a rehab assignment with Triple A OKC (in Reno) starting Tuesday. Plan is for him to play 4-5 games. If all goes well, he could be activated before the series against the A’s at the end of the month. #Dodgers
