Zack Greinke pitched a gem, shutting out the Padres over seven frames, striking out seven while scattering four hits and three walks. This outing just continues a theme of dominance in the division as a Dodgers pitcher, with a 1.88 ERA in 201.1 innings since coming over.
On the flip side, the Dodgers offense continued to scuffle a bit, though it was at Petco Park and it was against Andrew Cashner. Still, they did enough, and Greinke was backed by an RBI single from Juan Uribe, a homer by Carl Crawford, and a sac fly from Joc Pederson.
Cashner turned in a solid performance himself, but most importantly, he did this and helped give us the lead picture:
In relief of Greinke, Pedro Baez continued his shaky ways at the back-end of the pen, and I still think he’s more suited for a middle relief role. Nevertheless, Paco Rodriguez and Jimmy Rollins helped to bail him out of trouble with no damage done.
Yimi Garcia? Yeah, he’ll be alright, as he closed out the game and tallied his first save with two strikeouts and a pop to Uribe at third. Yimi now leads all relievers in strikeouts with 16 in 9.1 innings.

Perhaps the most significant news for the season is that Yasiel Puig left the game after tweaking his left hamstring again while grounding out to third in the top of the sixth. Also, in the first inning, he was hit on the kneecap by a mid-90s fastball and took a while to get off the mat.
Puig’s listed as day-to-day, but with the hamstring issue repeating itself, one has to wonder about his status.
Yasiel Puig left clubhouse before reporters were allowed in. Mattingly non-committal on DL. Friedman optimistic won't be necessary #Dodgers

-Uribe wore the wrong jersey to the game.
Haha, Juan Uribe had the wrong jersey ("Los Angeles" instead of "Dodgers") in the first inning, per @alannarizzo on the TV broadcast
